Braves Keep Home Streak Alive With Close Win Over The Nationals

Atlanta, Ga – The Atlanta Braves (93-55) held on to win the game against the Washington Nationals (51-97), 3-2 victory. The Braves are currently on a 10-game home winning streak.

In 5.1 innings, starting pitcher Charlie Morton (9-6) got the win for the Braves. He struck out nine batters and allowed three hits, three walks and a run. Kenley Jansen earned his 36th save of the season.

Travis d’Arnaud hit a two-run home run (18) that scored Matt Olson in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Dansby Swanson went 2-4, including a single and a solo home run (21) in the bottom of the eighth inning. Swanson also tied his career-high of RBI with 88.

Vaughn Grissom went 2-3 with two singles and Michael Harris II had a single and a walk.

Bryce Elder (1-3) is the projected starting pitcher for the Braves while the Nationals have not decided their projected starting pitcher for Wednesday’s matchup.
