Titans Fall in Overtime After 43-36 Battle

CINCINNATI – The Tennessee Titans once again battled to the end, only to come up short in overtime, 43-36, on the road to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Overview

The Titans’ offense took early control of the game behind spirited performances from Cam Ward and Tony Pollard.

Ward had his best day as a professional, totaling 304 yards on 26-of-40 passing and two touchdowns. Pollard added 137 total yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

Tennessee’s defense also played well early on, despite trading Jeffery Simmons earlier in the week.

Safety Amani Hooker had three interceptions on the day, and Jacob Martin added three sacks.

Despite that, Cincinnati was able to fight back behind prolific performances from Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase. The two receivers combined for 296 yards and three touchdowns.

That would lead into overtime, where Burrow, who threw for 462 yards and five passing touchdowns, scored the game-winning touchdown on a nine-yard scramble.
