Team Needs: QB, Edge, WR, CB
The Tennessee Titans won a whopping three games in 2024 in what was a disappointing season. The big spending in the offseason paid little to no dividends and they will now be looking to start anew in 2025.
Tennessee has a new regime and with it comes a renewed sense of hope. The team has embraced the rebuild, and that rebuild starts in April with the NFL Draft.
Cam Ward – Quarterback, Miami
Luther Burden III – Wide Receiver, Missouri
Jordan Burch – Edge, Oregon
The most important position on the football field was the Titans Achilles heel in 2024. Quarterback Will Levis gave them little to no spark and they will now look to reinvent themselves under a new signal caller.
Tennessee signed longtime backup quarterback Brandon Allen and reinforced the offensive line with Dan Moore and Kevin Zeitler. That leaves them needing two positions on offense, quarterback and wide receiver.
Miami quarterback Cam Ward has become the apple of many teams’ eye, and he fits Tennessee to a tee. His leadership, competitiveness and elite skill all lend themselves to him seeing success early in his career. He would provide head coach Brian Callahan with “his guy” and the Titans with a future franchise cornerstone.
A tried and true philosophy in the league has been to draft a quarterback and then draft his future top target to grow with. The Titans can do that by drafting a player like Luther Burden III on day two.
Burden III is a playmaker in every sense of the word, combining speed and run-after-the-catch ability in an electrifying package. He would be the second option early on but can develop into the top guy in Tennessee.
On day three, Tennessee could shift their focus to defense in a very concentrated defensive class. Tennessee’s biggest need is edge rusher and they could snatch a player like Oregon’s Jordan Burch in the fourth round or later.
Burch is a big edge standing 6’6” 295lbs. His ability to disrupt the pocket with power or speed will be valuable, especially while learning from veteran Dre’Mont Jones whom the team added this offseason.
Tennessee can give themselves the reset in a draft packed with talent. They have a chance to come out with a class that can end up being the foundational pieces of the newest era of Titans football.
