Miami, FL – The Atlanta Braves (100-60) struck out 14 times and were allowed only four hits in a 4-0 shutout against the Miami Marlins (68-92).
Braves’ starting pitcher Bryce Elder (2-4) pitched 5.0 innings and gave up four runs on six hits and a walk with five strikeouts.
Dansby Swanson went 2-4 with a single and his 33rd double of the season. Orlando Arcia also had a double and Robbie Grossman had a single.
The Braves look to clinch the NL East with two remaining games left. They are ahead of the New York Mets (98-61) by 1.5 games.
LHP Braxton Garrett (3-6) will be the projected starter for the Marlins while the Braves have not chosen their projected starter for Tuesday’s matchup.
