Atlanta, Ga – The Atlanta Braves (99-59) move in first place after their series clinching win over the New York Mets (98-60), 4-2.
After trailing 2-1 going to the bottom of the fifth inning, Atlanta scored three unanswered runs to win the game.
Starting pitcher Kyle Wright (21-5) gave up two earned runs on seven hits, a walk and struck out three batters. Kenely Janson got his 39th save of the year.
Dansby Swanson went 2-4, including a two-run home run (24) that drove in Ronald Acuna Jr. in the bottom of the 5th inning and a walk. Acuna went 3-4 with three singles.
Matt Olson homered (32) as well in the bottom of the 6th inning. He went 2-4 on the night.
Austin Riley went 3-4, including his 39th double of the season and a run.
The projected starters for Sunday’s game are RHP Chris Bassitt (15-8) for the Mets and RHP Charlie Morton (9-6) for the Braves.
The game will start approximately at 7:08 pm eastern.
