Another week in the books and another team drops out the top 10. How tough will it be to hold onto a playoff position with so much teams riding win streaks?
1. Milwaukee Bucks (47-18)
Brook Lopez has recorded two 26-point games in his last three. He’s averaging 17.9 points in his last 10 games.
2. Denver Nuggets (46-19)
Denver has won four in a row, averaging 124.5 points per game. Denver has won eight out of nine games overall.
3. Boston Celtics (46-21)
Three losses in a row, two of which came in overtime. Boston has to close out games better down the stretch.
4. Philadelphia 76ers (43-22)
Philadelphia has started another win streak and they’re up to three straight victories. James Harden had three straight double-doubles before sitting out Tuesday night with a foot injury
5. Cleveland Cavaliers (42-26)
Cleveland is riding a two-game winning streak into a two-game set versus the Heat in Miami.
6. New York Knicks (39-28)
Julius Randle won Eastern Conference Player of the Week while the Knicks pushed their win streak to nine games.
7. Phoenix Suns (37-29)
Phoenix looks really dangerous with their full arsenal of players. They should start to make their way up the Western Conference standings.
8. Memphis Grizzlies (38-26)
The Grizzlies are not legitimate title contenders without Ja Morant in the lineup. They’ll need to sort out his issues sooner than later.
9. Sacramento Kings (38-26)
The Kings have won two out of three games and they are now tied with the Grizzlies for the second best record in the West.
10. Minnesota Timberwolves (34-33)
They were working on a three-game winning streak, averaging 118.6 points per game before they were defeated by Philadelphia on Tuesday night.
Player Of The Week: Kevin Durant – Phoenix Suns
Durant shot 70% from the field and scored 37 points during the Suns 130-126 win over the Dallas Mavericks. Durant is averaging 26.7 points per game since joining the Suns.
