2025 Indianapolis Colts Draft Profile

Team Needs: TE, Edge, OL, LB

There has been an attempt to reshape the Indianapolis Colts by head coach Shane Steichen and company to no avail. The 2024 season saw the holes on their roster get exposed and lead to them just barely missing the playoffs.

The team needs to fill those voids with young talent through the 2025 NFL Draft .

Possible Targets

Tyler Warren – Tight End, Penn State

Jared Ivey – Edge, Ole Miss

Luke Kandra – Guard, Cincinnati

One thing that has been a calling card of the Colts is their ability to find tight ends. Steichen’s system calls for the position to play a prominent role in the offense. Right now, the team doesn’t have that one guy who can take over a game at the position, so getting one early could be in play.

Tyler Warren, out of Penn State, is one of the best football players in the class and just so happens to play tight end as well. Warren’s athleticism for his size added with his versatility as a tight end makes him a lethal weapon in the right hands.

The way Steichen puts players in the best position to succeed would only amplify his effectiveness in the league. Warren will also aid in the development of young quarterback Anthony Richardson.

The Colts also need to address the edge rusher position opposite second-year man Laitu Latu.

Former first-round pick Kwity Paye has been solid but hasn’t lived up to the hype. Getting a player with a higher ceiling could be an option for the team.

Jared Ivey was a part of one of the best defensive fronts in college football at Ole Miss. His size and speed off the edge is great and it fits the bill of a Lou Anarumo defense.

Ivey’s skillset is similar to one of Anarumo’s former players, Trey Hendrickson, which is a great coincidence for the Colts. Being able to get a player who can fit the scheme on day two could insure that the defensive unit flourishes in 2025.

Indianapolis lost two of their best offensive lineman in free agency this offseason and replacing them will not be easy. Day three of the draft contains a ton of hidden gems and the Colts could get one of those players.

Luke Kandra is a terror on the offensive line. He is one of those guards who loves to inflict pain on the opposition and excels in all aspects of the game.

Getting him in a room with Bernard Raimann and Quenton Nelson would allow him to get up to speed quickly while cultivating his skills. With the right guard position in limbo, he can come in and be a plug-and-play pick with little risk on for the team.

Indianapolis has it made as a franchise at this point in the season. They aren’t a bad team and have holes that can be filled with young players. This draft class has all they need and more.
