Michael Harris III And Vaughn Grissom Lead The Braves To Their Third Straight Win

Miami, FL – The Atlanta Braves (67-46) pick up their third win in a row with a victory over the Miami Marlins (50-62) 4-3.

Pitcher Tyler Matzek (2-2) was credited for his second win of the season and reliever Kenley Jansen earned his 25th save. Jake Odorizzi got the start for the game and pitched 4.0 innings, allowing eight hits including a home run from Brian Anderson, a walk and two strikeouts.

In the top of the eighth inning, rookie Vaughn Grissom hit his first double of the season. Michael Harris II followed with a two-run home run (11) that gave the Braves their first lead of the game. Harris III also had a double with two RBI and scored twice.

Matt Olson hit his 22nd home run of the season in the top of the fourth inning and Eddie Rosario had two hits including a double.

The Braves will continue their series against the Marlins in a doubleheader on Saturday. RHP Ian Anderson (6-3) is the projected starter in the first game for the Braves and LHP Jesus Luzardo (3-4) is listed as the starter for the Marlins.

For the second half of the doubleheader, RHP Spencer Strider (6-4) is the projected starter for the Braves. The Marlins have not decided on the starting pitcher for Game 2.
