Truist Park – The Atlanta Braves once again struggled offensively in their 5-1 loss to the Boston Red Sox. This marked their fourth loss in the last five games.

There have been instances where the Braves’ bats were active, but they have failed to be consistent when it comes to hitting.

The bats of the Braves exemplified life during the doubleheader on Thursday by going  7-19 with runners in scoring position. In the series opener against the Red Sox, the batters were only 1-10 .

Brave’s manager Brian Snitker is trying to stay optimistic when it comes to the offense.

“We’ll get guy hot here and there and we just can’t get rolling as a club, more than one guy,” stated Snitker.”I don’t know what the answer is. Just keep running out there, keep playing.”

“It’s not for lack of effort, not for lack of work. These guys are doing everything right, it’s just not happening consistently,”

Once Ronald Acuna Jr. came back in the lineup, there was a glaring hope that he would spark the offense. Ozzie Albies ended his 14-game hitting streak on Friday against the Red Sox, yet, the rest of the club hasn’t quite followed him in his footsteps.

First baseman Matt Olson believes there’s no need for any pep talks or “Do it for the skipper” speeches at this point.

“In my time, I don’t think guys need special motivation from one of their teammates,” said Olson. “Obviously, everybody’s around and pumping each other up and we got good chemistry and a good team.

“I’ve never been the biggest ra-ra guy. I think everyone is busting their [expletive], and that’s how it should be.”

There is definitely enough time to turn it around, it’s just that they don’t want to wait till they’re too far behind to catch up.

With some of the best hitters in the game and former All-Stars in the lineup, there’s just a feeling that it’s going to turn around. The question is just when.
