Braves Get Their 60th Win Of The Season

Atlanta, GA – The Atlanta Braves (60-41) gained their 60th win of the season as they started off their three-game home series against the Arizona Diamondbacks (45-54) with a 5-2 victory.

Starting pitcher Kyle Wright earned his 13th win of the season through 6.2 innings by allowing five hits and two runs (home run by Geraldo Perdomo) with five strikeouts. Wright leads the National League with 13 wins

Relief pitcher Kenley Jansen gets his 24th save of the season with three strikeout including the final strikeout to end the game with the bases loaded.

Austin Riley went 3-4 with three RBIs and two doubles including his 29th home run of the season that he hit early in the bottom of the first inning. Dansby Swanson went 2-4 and scored twice.

The Braves will continue their three-game stretch as RHP Ian Anderson (8-6) will be the starting pitcher for Saturday’s game against the Diamondbacks’ RHP Corbin Martin.
