2025 Green Bay Packers Draft Profile

Team Needs: CB, Edge, WR, DL

Winning 11 games was a great continuation of success for the very young Green Bay Packers.

After fizzling out in the playoffs though, the team will now look to grab more young impact players in the 2025 NFL Draft. The draft class has great talent that can make the Packers’ roster even more formidable than it already is.

Possible Targets

Kenneth Grant – Defensive Lineman, Michigan

Darian Porter – Cornerback, Iowa State

Elijah Badger – Wide Receiver, Florida

One of the strengths of the Packers has been their defense and strengthening that should be a priority in the draft. They already have a wealth of athletic freaks on the team and in a draft full of them they could add some more.

Kenneth Grant is one of the twitchiest defensive linemen in the draft at almost 330lbs. He possesses the wiggle to split double teams and slip gaps to create havoc in the backfield and disrupt the timing of pass plays. He also has some of the best hand techniques in the class, making him an amazing run stopper. Grant could come in and compete for a starting job. Putting him up front with Luke Van Ness, Kenny Clark and Rashan Gary would give Green Bay arguably the most athletic front four in the league.

With the future of Jaire Alexander being up in the air, Green Bay will need to get an insurance policy. They have a ton of undersized guys but so they could look to add a bigger defensive back on the outside.

Darian Porter is one of the best man coverage cornerbacks in the class and it also helps that he is a top-tier athlete. His legitimate track speed allows him to turn and run with deep threats while not losing any leverage due to his length. He also has extremely polished ball skills from his days of playing wide receiver.

If the Packers do deal Alexander, they could end up with a top end replacement with Porter. If Alexander stays, they get a CB2 that can develop into a CB1b to give them a lockdown secondary.

Last but certainly not least is the wide receiver position. The receiving corps is very young but Christian Watson is often hurt, taking one of their best deep threats off the field. Green Bay could look to add a late-round receiver that can serve as a consistent presence on the field.

Florida had some speedsters on their offense this year and Elijah Badger was one of them. The 6’1″ product showcased his speed at the combine and it shows up on tape in a big way. His ability to run past the initial defender and threaten the deep third of the field is invaluable, and Matt LeFleur could find ways to scheme him open. Badger also has amazing moves after the catch, making him a threat from anywhere on the field.

This class could be the key to the Packers making that magical run to another Lombardi. With them being the host city, their players wouldn’t have far to travel and could make a name in Titletown.
