The NFL has reached it’s midway point and they’ve also reached their annual trade deadline. Moves will be made to change the future of some teams and the results will affect the entire league. What has already been a wild season is about to heat up a bit more for the stretch run.

1. Detroit Lions (7-1)
Detroit is ranked fifth in total points allowed and first in total points scored. They acquired edge rusher Za’Darius Smith in a trade with the Cleveland Browns. Smith will help fill in a void on the defense left by the injury to Aidan Hutchinson.

2. Kansas City Chiefs (8-0)
DeAndre Hopkins had eight catches for 86 yards and two touchdowns in the Chiefs’ Monday night victory. Consider that cheat code unlocked for Patrick Mahomes.

3. Pittsburgh Steelers (6-2)
The Steelers are trading a fifth round pick to the New York Jets for wide receiver Mike Williams. Another big target for Russell Wilson and company could pay dividends.

4.  Washington Commanders (7-2)
The Commanders acquired cornerback Marshon Lattimore in a trade with New Orleans. They add a top notch defender to a defense that allows 183.3 passing yards a game.

5. Baltimore Ravens (6-3)
Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry might literally be the two front runners for NFL MVP. You could see a scenario where one wins that award and the other wins Offensive Player of the Year.

6. Buffalo Bills (7-2)
The Bills have started to run away with the AFC East. They have a four game lead, with three out of their last eight games against divisional opponents.

7. Minnesota Vikings (6-2)
The Vikings got back to their defensive ways after giving up 61 points in their previous two games. They’ve given up a total of 89 points in their six victories.

8. Houston Texans (6-3)
The Texans have struggled mightily since they started sustaining injuries to their wide receiver unit. They’ve lost two out of their last three games.

9. Philadelphia Eagles (6-2)
Saquon Barkley already has 1,071 yards from scrimmage and eight total touchdowns. He had 1,242 yards from scrimmage and 10 total touchdowns all of last season.

10. Atlanta Falcons (6-3)
The Falcons have totally dominated their division so far. None of the other team in the NFC South look like a formidable opponent or threat for a division title.

11. Green Bay Packers (6-3)
The Packers snapped a four game losing streak by recording their lowest point total of the season on Sunday.

12. Arizona Cardinals (5-4)
The division leading Cardinals are averaging 149.6 rushing yards per game. They rank second in the NFL averaging 5.3 yards per carry.

13. s Los Angeles Chargers (5-3)
The Chargers have allowed 20 or more points in only one game this season. They allow an average of 12.6 points per game and they rank first in total points allowed.

14. Denver Broncos (5-4)
Denver has not defeated a team that currently has a winning record. A record that could pose a problem, seeing as how they play two division leaders in their next two games.

15. San Francisco 49ers (4-4)
The 49ers come off of their bye week and travel to Tampa Bay to take on the Buccaneers and then they travel to Seattle for a divisional game against the Seahawks.

16. Cincinnati Bengals (4-5)
After Zack Moss was placed on injured reserve due to a neck injury, the Bengals have traded for Bears’ running back Khalil Herbert. Herbert has been used sparingly this season in Chicago.

17. Chicago Bears (4-4)
The Bears’ offense was on a serious hot streak before their bye week. Since then, they’ve scored an average of 12.0 points per game on their current two game losing streak.

18. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-5)
Despite being on a three game losing streak, the Buccaneers have no problems moving the ball or scoring. They rank fifth in total points scored and total yards from scrimmage.

19. Seattle Seahawks (4-5)
Seattle has now lost two in a row and they’re averaging 15.0 points per game in those losses. They’ve allowed a total of 57 points during that stretch.

20. Indianapolis Colts (4-5)
It really doesn’t matter who the starting quarterback is: the Colts struggle on offense. They rank 22nd in both total points scored and total yards from scrimmage.

21. Los Angeles Rams (4-4)
The Rams have won three games in a row, scoring a total of 76 points  during the streak. They scored a total of 94 points in the five games before they their bye week.

22. New York Jets (3-6)
The numbers might say otherwise, but this game on Thursday night might’ve been Aaron Rodgers’ best game of the year. A lot of quick reaction passes, methodically working his way downfield and then taking a few shots into the end zone.

23. Dallas Cowboy (3-5)
Dallas has pushed their losing streak to three games and it won’t get an easier anytime soon. Their next three opponents have a combined 17-6 record so far this season.

24. Miami Dolphins (2-6)
The confidence in the Dolphins being able to score points has returned. The confidence in them being able to stop any of their opponents from scoring has officially left the building.

25. Jacksonville Jaguars (2-7)
Jacksonville has given up an average of 29.0 points per game on their current two game losing streak. They rank 30th in total points allowed.

26. Cleveland Browns (2-7)
This week in the life and times of the Browns, Jameis Winston reverts back to his interception throwing ways, while the offense kicks multiple field goals instead of scoring touchdowns.

27. Las Vegas Raiders (2-7)
The Raiders have pushed their losing streak to five games heading into their bye week. Sunday marked the fourth time they’ve allowed 30 or more points in a game this season.

28. Tennessee Titans (2-6)
Tennessee snapped a three game losing streak by playing one of the only teams that could possibly be worse than them. The Titans are undefeated when they score 20 or more points.

29. Carolina Panthers (2-7)
Carolina snatched their second win of the season and the team looked decent in the process. At the deadline they traded wide receiver Jonathan Mingo to Dallas for a fourth round pick.

30. New Orleans Saints (2-7)
The Saints have fired head coach Dennis Allen after the team lost their seventh straight game. Allen was 18-25 in his time with the Saints.

31. New York Giants (2-7)
The Giants have lost four in a row, averaging 12.5 points per game during that streak. They rank 32nd in total points scored.

32. New England Patriots (2-7)
The Patriots’ offensive line problems will have to be addressed in the offseason. They’ve given up 31 sacks so far this season.
