Kyle Wright and Matt Olson Lead The Braves Over The Pirates

Pittsburgh, PA – The Atlanta Braves (78-48) complete their season series on the road against the Pittsburgh Pirates (47-77) with a 14-2 win. The Braves won all seven match-ups against the Pirates this season.

Braves’ starting pitcher Kyle Wright (16-5) earned the win by striking out eight batters and only allowing two hits and a walk. 

Matt Olson went 3-5, which included a grand slam (27), a double, two runs. and a walk. Robbie Grossman also went 3-5 with two runs and a walk.

William Contreras had two hits, including a two-run home run, two runs and a walk. Dansby Swanson went 2-5 with a double , three RBI, two runs and a walk.

The Braves had a total of 14 hits and only allowed six hits from the Pirates.

The Braves will continue their road trip on Friday when they face the St. Louis Cardinals. The projected starters will be RHP Spencer Strider (7-4) for the Braves and LHP José Quintana (4-5) for the Cardinals.
