Hornets Will Open The Season With No Fans At Home

On Monday morning after consulting with state and local officials, the Charlotte Hornets have decided to start the NBA season with no fans at the Spectrum Center. The team has not ruled out fans being at home games in the future.

Charlotte will continue to look into all options in order to bring the fans back in a safe and timely manner.

Adam Silver has had interest in bringing fans back during 2020-21 season but says safety comes first.

The Charlotte Hornets will begin their preseason on December 12th at home against the Toronto Raptors and open their 2020-2021 regular season in late December. The regular-season schedule has not been announced.
