Truist Park – Atlanta braves center fielder Michael Harris II exited Tuesday night’s game against the San Francisco Giants in the first inning with lower back tightness.

Harris singled and scored a run in the first inning off a Mauricio single.

Walt Weiss didn’t know when it exactly happened but they wanted to take precaution due to the rainy weather.

“Yeah back tightness for Harris, especially in those conditions, we didn’t want to leave him out there.” stated Weiss. “Hopefully he comes in tomorrow feeling better. We’ll check in with him tomorrow and will go with that.”

The Braves have dealt with injuries all season but was able to get catcher Drake Baldwin back after missing 23 games.

Baldwin homered in his first swing at bat in the leadoff position. His home run traveled 473 feet which is the longest home run this season in the MLB.

The game ended up being suspended in the bottom of the second with the Giants leading 3-2 and will resume on Wednesday in a doubleheader that will start at 2:00 pm.

If his back feels better tomorrow, there may be a chance Harris plays at some point during the doubleheader.
