2025 Los Angeles Rams Draft Profile

Team Needs: Tackle, LB, CB, WR

With a healthy team and a young core, the Los Angeles Rams took the league by surprise in 2024. Matthew Stafford turned the clock back and the defense was as tenacious as any in the NFL.

The Rams have drafted as well as any team in the league and that shouldn’t change this season. They have built a powerhouse with their moves in April, they get a chance to add to it this year.

Possible Targets

Armand Membou – Tackle, Mizzou

Carson Schwesinger – Linebacker, UCLA

Arian Smith – Wide Receiver, Georgia

The offensive line was as good as you can get this past season for the Rams, but they have an aging tackle in Rob Havenstein that may be on his last legs. They also lack depth at the guard position which could push them to target a versatile player in the trenches early.

Mizzou standout Armand Membou put together one of the most complete reels for an offensive line prospect in 2024. His athletic profile has made him the apple of many team’s eye and for good reason. Membou is 6’3” 324lbs with the strength of a bear and the feet of a ballerina. He is a pile pusher in the run game and a brick wall when pass blocking. The Rams could draft him and plug him in at left guard and then move him to tackle once Havenstein moves on. This would give LA a complete offensive line unit for years to come and a potential All-Pro at multiple positions.

As good as the defense was last season they lacked steady production in the middle. The linebackers were serviceable but not standouts by any means. In such a deep defensive draft the team could land a stalwart on day two.

One of the better players at the inside linebacker position in this year’s draft is former UCLA Bruin Carson Schwesinger. He flashes the sideline-to-sideline speed and vision to stuff runs before they get started. He is also a very polished blitzer, disguising pressures with his patience. With such a strong front the Rams can plug Schwesinger in and allow him to go to work early. His ceiling is high and he could see his full potential sooner rather than later.

After losing longtime receiver Cooper Kupp this offseason, the Rams need to address the position and get quality depth. The top two spots will be locked down with DaVante Adams and Puka Nacua playing outside. Tutu Atwell has been solid for the team but more competition is a must.

This team lacks true top end speed at the receiver position and will need someone who can stretch the field on the roster. Georgia’s Arian Smith has track-like burst and is a legitimate deep threat. He has good size and is a prototype slot. Sean McVay is a genius with his personnel groupings and could find ways to utilize Smith as a lethal weapon. Getting a quality player like this in the late rounds would be an ideal situation for both parties.

If 2024 was any indication of what the future holds, then the sky is the limit in LA. The Rams have a chance to ace yet another draft class in 2025, cementing them as one of the best front offices in the NFL.
