The Charlotte Hornets Will Open Their Four-Game Preseason Schedule At Home

The Charlotte Hornets 2020 preseason schedule has been released. The Hornets will have four preseason games in all, including hosting two at the Spectrum Center.

In a different format, NBA teams that have four games will host the same team twice and will play both away games against the same team. This is to minimize any chance of catching and spreading the coronavirus.

The Hornets will host Kyle Lowry and the Toronto Raptors twice on December 12th and the 14th at 7:00 pm. Both of those games will be shown locally on Fox Sports South. Then they will travel to Orlando to play the Magic on December 17th and the 19th at 7:00 pm.

Head coach James Borrego will have his first chance to be able to use third-overall pick LaMelo Ball and newly acquired Gordon Hayward in the Hornets rotation at home on December 12th. Ball and fellow rookies Vernon Carey Jr., Nick Richards, and Grant Riller will be potentially making their NBA debuts on their home floor.

The NBA season will begin on December 22nd with a 72-game season. The regular-season schedule will be released at a later date.
