Midseason Top 50 NFL Prospect Big Board

Football is in full swing, and the College Football season has reached its halfway mark. The NFL scouts are out and about, searching for the best talent to make the leap to the professional ranks. After six weeks of football, there have been some new names that have opened some eyes, and some names that have underperformed to this point. Here are the top 50 prospects thus far.

1. Marvin Harrison Jr. – WR, Ohio State

HT: 6’3″, WT: 205lbs

2023 Stats: 31 Receptions;  604 Yards;  5 Touchdowns

Harrison has continued to show the flashes of generational talent that has scouts salivating. He is the hottest commodity in football and will continue to be, barring a major skid.

2. Caleb Williams – QB, USC

HT: 6’1″, WT: 215lbs

2023 Stats: 2,021 Yards; 24 Touchdowns; 4 Interception; 187.0 Passer Rating

The USC product has been the best signal caller in football hands down. He is a lock to be the top pick in the draft.

3. Olumuyiwa Fashanu – Tackle, Penn State

HT: 6’6″, WT: 321lbs

2023 Stats: 175 Pass Blocking Snaps; 0 Sacks Allowed

Plug-and-Play! That is it, that’s the scouting report….You can’t teach this combination of size, athleticism, and violence.

4. Brock Bowers – TE, Georgia

HT: 6’4″, WT: 230lbs

2023 Stats: 41 Receptions; 567 Yards ; 4 Touchdowns

At this point I don’t think there is a reason to doubt Bowers’ ability. He does everything and more. His only comparison is himself. He is more versatile than Travis Kelce, more athletic than Rob Gronkowski and smarter than any other tight end I’ve seen play.

5. Drake Maye – QB, North Carolina

HT: 6’4″, WT: 225lbs

2023 Stats: 1,902 Yards; 12 Touchdowns; 4 Interceptions; 159.1 Passer Rating

Maye has been as advertised this season. He is the cemented #2 quarterback going into the draft until further notice.

6. Michael Penix Jr. – QB, Washington

HT: 6’3″, WT: 214lbs

2023 Stats: 2,301 Yards; 20 Touchdowns; 3 Interceptions; 189.9 Passer Rating

The only thing keeping Penix from being the best quarterback in this class is Drake Maye and Caleb Williams. This guy just has it! Poise, arm strength, accuracy and awareness all in a pretty prototype package.

7. Joe Alt – Tackle, Notre Dame

HT: 6’7″, WT: 317lbs

2023 Stats: 247 Pass Blocking Snaps; 1 Sack Allowed

This kid is cut from the old school cloth of the offensive tackles. He has the mean streak you want and the size you need. The scary thing is, he still has room to improve from here.

8. Shedeur Sanders – QB, Colorado

HT: 6’2”, WT: 215lbs

2023 Stats: 2,420 Yards; 21 Touchdowns; 3 Interceptions; 160.3 Passer Rating

Shedeur Sanders has been stellar this season. He has taken the Power 5 ranks by storm and looks like he has been here from the start. He is ready out the bag and could be a leader of a NFL franchise today.

9. Bo Nix – QB, Oregon

HT: 6’2″, WT: 213lbs

2023 Stats: 1,796 Yards; 17 Touchdowns; 1 Interception; 178.2 Passer Rating

Nix could very well win the Heisman Trophy this year if he keeps up the pace he is on. He has been almost flawless, and despite the questions of his ability, he has shown he is one of the best signal callers available.

10. Quinn Ewers – QB, Texas

HT: 6’2″, WT: 195lbs

2023 Stats: 1,704 Yards; 11 Touchdowns; 3 Interceptions; 163.8 Passer Rating

Ewers has been tough to decipher. He has games where he looks like the best quarterback this side of football, then he has games where you question his ability. Nonetheless he has a ceiling as high as any player in the 2024 draft class.

11. Kalen King – CB, Penn State

HT: 5’11”, WT: 188lbs

2023 Stats: 11 Total Tackles; 6 Solo Tackles; 0 Interceptions; 1 Pass Defended

King is a fitting name for the best defensive back in the draft regardless of position. He has been the best cornerback in college football this season and stands alone at the top.

12. Jared Verse – DL, Florida State

HT: 6’4″, WT: 253lbs

2023 Stats: 15 Tackles; 2.5 Sacks

Though not statistically dominating, Verse has been impactful for this Florida State squad. His presence is felt on the field and that won’t change when he plays on Sundays.

13. Calen Bullock – Safety, USC

HT: 6’3″, WT: 180lbs

2023 Stats: 36 Total Tackles; 27 Solo Tackles; 1 Interception; 5 Passes Defended

Bullock has emerged as one of the best safeties in college football this season. His size and physicality has been on full display and has earned him the eyes of pro scouts.

14. Emeka Egbuka – WR, Ohio State

HT: 6’1″, WT: 205lbs

2023 Stats: 22 Receptions; 303 Yards; 3 Touchdowns

There is no doubt that Egbuka is still the second best receiver in the 2024 class. His speed and route running are second to only his teammate Marvin Harrison Jr. He will have ample opportunities to produce as the season goes along.

15. Bralen Trice – Edge, Washington

HT: 6’4″, WT: 256lbs

2023 Stats: 17 Total Tackles; 10 Solo Tackles; 1 Sack

Trice has flourished off the edge and has been more of a run stopper this season. His sack production could be better but that won’t stop teams from selecting the young edge rusher.

16. Jordan Travis – QB, Florida State

HT: 6’1″, WT: 201lbs

2023 Stats: 1,482 Yards; 13 Touchdowns; 1 Interception; 154.1 Passer Rating

Travis has shown grit and leadership for the Florida State Seminoles this season. He has all the tools to be a starter at the next level, he will have his name called early in April.

17. Kool-Aid McKinstry – CB, Alabama

HT: 6’1”, WT: 195lbs

2023 Stats: 18 Total Tackles; 15 Solo Tackles; 0 Interceptions; 4 Passes Defended

Though not the top guy anymore, McKinstry is still one of the best cornerbacks in the class. He has been up and down, yet has shown flashes of elite play. He will have more than ample opportunities to show what he is made of as the Crimson Tide enter the meat of their SEC schedule.

18. Xavier Worthy – WR, Texas

HT: 6’1″, WT: 163lbs

2023 Stats: 34 Receptions; 453 Yards; 3 Touchdowns

The season got off to a slow churn for Worthy but he has picked it up as the season went on. His speed jumps off the screen when you watch him and makes him one of the most dangerous pass catchers in the draft class.

19. Cooper DeJean – DB, Iowa

HT: 6’1″, WT: 209lbs

2023 Stats: 36 Total Tackles; 23 Solo Tackles ; 2 Interceptions; 3 Passes Deflections

DeJean can play either position in the defensive backfield but his best fit is safety at the next level. His is a ball hawk and have displayed excellent instincts thus far in the college season.

20. Ray Davis – HB, Kentucky

HT: 5’10”, WT: 216lbs

2023 Stats: 781 Rush Yards; 7.0 YPC ; 193 Receiving Yards; 13 Total Touchdowns

Davis has been the best back in the country thus far. His overall game makes him a prime candidate at the next level as he can do it running or catching the ball.
