Kansas City Chiefs’ Left Tackle Eric Fisher suffered a torn Achilles during the AFC Championship game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
Chiefs head coach Andy Ried said after Sunday’s 38-24 win over the Buffalo Bills that the injury “didn’t look good”. Left tackle Mike Remmers replaced Fisher after he left late in the fourth quarter.
Fisher was selected by the Chiefs with the No.1 overall pick in 2013 and was selected to his second Pro Bowl this year (first in 2018). Fisher, 30 years old, is currently scheduled to be a free agent this offseason.
The Chiefs had been without offensive right tackle Mitchell Swartz since Week 6 after injuring his back against the Bills in their first matchup.
Kansas City will play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on February 7th in Super Bowl LV in Tampa, Florida.
