NFL Power Rankings Week 12 – Back To The Drawing Board

Last week was filled with mind-changing results by the time everything was said and done. We really thought we had a handle on the NFL and then in one fell swoop were back to square one.

Which team really holds the power right now in each conference, or better yet each division? Do we really have a clue on who’s poised for a playoff spot yet? The only thing that we do know is we still have much to learn about these teams.

 

1). Arizona Cardinals (9-2)
Arizona has proven to be a very deep team. They won with backup quarterback Colt McCoy, an almost forgotten running back and recently acquired tight end Zach Ertz leading the offense.

 

2). Green Bay Packers (8-3)
The Packers have lost two out of three games and they have another big matchup this weekend versus the Los Angeles Rams.

 

3). Tennessee Titans (8-3)
Ryan Tannehill threw four interceptions in a terrible outing versus Houston. He has 12 interceptions this season.

 

4). Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-3)
The Buccaneers has moved back into the top spot for most points scored. They have a tough matchup with a hot Indianapolis Colts team coming up on Sunday.

 

5). Baltimore Ravens (7-3)
The Ravens have won two out of three games, including last week despite missing Lamar Jackson in their last contest. He should return for their division matchup against the Browns.

 

6). Dallas Cowboys (7-3)
The Cowboys were at the top of the league in scoring but they’ve failed to reach 20 points in two out of the last three weeks.

 

7). Los Angeles Rams (7-3)
The Rams come off their bye week to face Green Bay, a game with huge playoff implications.

 

8). New England Patriots (7-4)
Kyle Van Noy dominated the Falcons with five tackles, two sacks and a pick-six to put the nail in the coffin. The Patriots now have the No. 1 scoring defense in the NFL.

 

9). Kansas City Chiefs (7-4)
All of a sudden, the Chiefs are right back in the hunt for the top spot in the AFC. They have won four games in a row and their defense has now moved up to 16th in points allowed.

 

10). Cincinnati Bengals (6-4)
The Bengals have snapped a two-game losing streak just in time for their division showdown with the Steelers.

 

11). Buffalo Bills (6-4)
Since their bye week, Buffalo has been up and down. They’ve won two games in which they’ve scored at least 25 points and they’ve lost two games where they’ve failed to reach 20 points.

 

12). Los Angeles Chargers (6-4)
The Chargers are undefeated when they score 30 or more points. They are currently ranked 11th in total points scored.

 

13). Cleveland Browns (6-5)
The Browns got back to their running ways, rushing for 184 yards in a win over the Lions. The Browns are winless when they fail to rush for 100 yards or more.

 

14). Indianapolis Colts (6-5)
The Colts will go as far as Jonathan Taylor can carry them. They’ve won three games in a row and they are hot on the trail of division leading Tennessee.

 

15). Minnesota Vikings (5-5)
Kirk Cousins bashed the Packers for 341 yards and three touchdowns. Cousins has 21 passing touchdowns and only two interceptions this season.

 

16.) San Francisco 49ers (5-5)
Deebo Samuel has 1,131 yards from scrimmage and eight total touchdowns. The 49ers have won three out of four games.

 

17.) Las Vegas Raiders (5-5)
The Raiders have dropped three in a row since their bye week. They have a total of seven turnovers during that stretch.

 

18). New Orleans Saints (5-5)
The Saints have lost three straight games, giving up a total 90 points in that stretch. Their defense is still in the top 10 in points and yards allowed.

 

19). Pittsburgh Steelers (5-4-1)
The Steelers are winless in their last two games and losing ground in the NFC North. They play division rivals Cincinnati and Baltimore in the next two weeks.

 

20).  Philadelphia Eagles (5-6)
The Eagles have won two games in a row and their next two games will be against the Giants and Jets at Met Life Stadium.

 

21). Carolina Panthers (5-6)

Despite their loss to Washington, the Panthers are ranked second in yards allowed and sixth in points allowed.

 

22.) Denver Broncos (5-5)
Denver comes off their bye to face two division opponents, the Chargers and Chiefs in consecutive weeks.

 

23). Miami Dolphins (4-7)
The Dolphins have won three in a row, allowing a total of 36 points. They play at Carolina and then host the Giants before going in their bye week.

 

24).  The Washington Football Team (4-6)
Taylor Heinike threw for 206 yards and three touchdowns, helping Ron Rivera beat his old team in Carolina.

 

25).  Atlanta Falcons (4-6)
The Falcons have lost two in a row getting outscored by a total of 68-3. A match-up against the Jaguars could either put them in the right track or potentially put the nail in their coffin.

 

26). Chicago Bears (3-7)
The Bears have lost five in a row, giving up a total of 140 points. They only gave up 100 points in their first five games.

 

27). New York Giants (3-7)
The Giants average 18.9 points per game with 17 touchdowns on offense. Offensive coordinator Jason Garrett has been fired from the team with hopes that a shake up could lead to better results.

 

28). Seattle Seahawks (3-7)
Seattle probably thought they’d get a boost in offense when Russell Wilson returned to the lineup. They’ve scored 13 points in two games since their bye week.

 

29). Houston Texans (2-8)
The Texans won their second game of the season, powered by a great defensive performance and two touchdown runs by quarterback Tyrod Taylor.

 

30). New York Jets (2-8)
The Jets lost a close one to Miami but they have an emerging weapon in Elijah Moore. He finished the game with eight catches, 141 receiving yards and a touchdown.

 

31). Jacksonville Jaguars (2-8)
The Jaguars have lost two in a row since their upset victory over Buffalo in Week 9. They’ve been outscored 53-27 during that stretch.

 

32). Detroit Lions (0-9-1)
D’Andre Swift has 975 total yards from scrimmage with six touchdowns. He’s second on the Lions in receptions and receiving yards and he leads the team in rushing.
