One source has indicated that the injury is do partly to wear and tear but another source has characterized it as a “complicated medical situation” but no further details on how his injury happened. There has been a statement issued that there will be an announcement on Monday from the Bills camp.
Official statement from Eric Wood…
I was diagnosed with a neck injury as part of my season-ending physical with the Bills. After consultation with Dr. Cappuccino and other physicians, I was informed that I was no longer cleared to play football, even with surgery or further treatment.
