What Stood Out In The Titans Trampling Defeat By The Colts

Indianapolis – The Tennessee Titans fell to 3-12 on the season after a crushing loss to the AFC South rival Indianapolis Colts. This is the Titans’ second loss to the Colts and their third division loss on the year.

Overview

Tennessee came out with what looked like a fire in the first quarter, going up 7-0 after a 38-yard Calvin Ridley touchdown. That is where the momentum would stop for them.

Indianapolis would go on to score 38 unanswered points in the game.

Defensively, they struggled to stop the run all day, giving up a season-high 335 yards on the ground. This has been a reoccurring trend for this unit all year.

Injuries became a factor as multiple players went out or were evaluated during the game.

The offense did show some fight in the second half of the game. Similar to last week, they rallied to score points and make it a game. They would score 23 unanswered points to make the game close at the end.

Their comeback hopes would fall short as Mason Rudolph threw an interception to seal the game.

Positives

Tony Pollard went over 1,000 rushing yards for the season, his second season in a row reaching that mark.

The Titans scored 30 points for just the second time this season.

Negatives

Injuries plagued the team for yet another season. The Titans have been without multiple players this season due to injury and the team’s progress has suffered because of it.

Tennessee lost the turnover battle yet again. Their three interceptions thrown marked the sixth game this year with at least three or more turnovers.

What’s Next

The team will now turn their attention to yet another AFC South opponent as they face the Jacksonville Jaguars in Jacksonville, Florida next week.
