NFL Preseason Power Rankings – Finding The Reign Cloud

Ab Stanley
The NFL season has finally returned and right this minute, your favorite team has as good a chance as any team to win it all. Reality will hit most hard in about four or five weeks, but we should all enjoy the return of our beloved sport.
Here’s how the teams stack up for week one.
1. Philadelphia Eagles
Are the Eagles poised to repeat as champs? Will Saquon Barkley lead the league in rushing again? If either happened again would anybody be surprised?
2. Baltimore Ravens
Lamar Jackson and company have as good a shot as any team to get to the Super Bowl. The problem is that status changes as soon as the playoffs start.
3. Detroit Lions
Losing both offensive and defensive coordinators could negatively affect the Lions. At least their roster is still loaded with talent.
4. Buffalo Bills
The Bills have to do more than win the AFC East this season. As a matter of fact, that in itself will be a tall task.
5. Kansas City Chiefs
The fact that nobody is really talking about Kansas City as contenders is a bit baffling. Patrick Mahomes on your team pretty much means your headed to the conference championship game.
6. Washington Commanders
The Commanders are the sweetheart pick of most NFL fans. Young Jayden Daniels has a bunch of weapons to attack opposing defenses and Dan Quinn is a defensive guru.
7. Green Bay Packers
The acquisition of Micah Parsons won’t catapult the Packers to the top of the NFC. I’m not so sure it catapults then to the top of the NFC North, but he will make some sort of difference.
8. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Buccaneers fly under the radar almost every year. They just simply go about their business, win their division and go to the playoffs every season for the last few years.
9. Denver Broncos
The most dangerous team in the NFL are the Broncos. With added experience, Bo Nix and company could make a major leap in the AFC standings.
10. Los Angeles Rams
Veteran quarterback, experienced head coach, lots of skill position players and a tough minded defense. Yup, the Rams have everything you want to look good on paper and fall short of winning anything major.
11. Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals scored a million points last season and they gave up a million and a half. This season they’re hoping the defense can stop the bleeding a bit more.
12. Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings are in a tough situation. They have great young talent that’s unproven, not to mention they play in an extremely tough division. Predicting their season would be very difficult to do.
13. Houston Texans
Doesn’t it seem like Houston should’ve been to the Super Bowl already in the last few years? It’s still very early in CJ Stroud’s career, but the way quarterbacks are coming in and having instant success might’ve spoiled us as fans.
14. San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers look to have a bounce back season this year and a healthy roster will  help them do just that. Some of the guys on the roster will have big shoes to fill after the team lost some talent in the offseason.
15. s Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers have a head coach who likes to run the football and a quarterback that is very talented throwing the football. Something has to give.
16. Pittsburgh Steelers
I don’t know what Aaron Rodgers has left in the tank and in his throwing arm, but I assume it’s better than what they had at the quarterback position last year.
17. Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons have their best team since the 2016 season that ended with a Super Bowl appearance. They should be in heavy contention for a division title.
18. Arizona Cardinals
The enigmatic Cardinals suffer from a lack of identity. What exactly are they supposed to be?
19. New England Patriots
The Patriots have a new attitude, stemming from an old source. Head coach Mike Vrabel will look to bring back the “Patriot Way” of life to New England.
20. Chicago Bears
The Ben Johnson era in Chicago will begin with a lot of optimism, but he’ll quickly find out how impatient owners and fans can get if the wins don’t come right away.
21. Seattle Seahawks
Seattle has moved on from Pete Carroll and Geno Smith and we won’t know if it’s a good move until the season is over and they make or miss the playoffs.
22. Jacksonville Jaguars
Rookie Travis Hunter will start at wide receiver and play a backup role in the secondary on defense. The Jaguars need him for both.
23. Miami Dolphins
Mike McDaniel is officially on the hot seat as soon as this Sunday rolls around. There’s no way he can survive this season if the Dolphins continue to underachieve.
24. Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys need to shed this reputation for being a drama fueled team full of divas. They need to go out there and win consistently this season that includes playoffs.
25. Las Vegas Raiders
Brock Bowers is in year two and he’s already the best tight end in football. Offensive coordinator Chip Kelly is going to have a field day scheming up plays for him.
26. Tennessee Titans
The Titans can’t rush Cam Ward like they did Will Levis. They need to methodically bring him along even though he’s going to be the starter from the beginning of the season.
27. New York Jets
Justin Fields is probably on his last chance your to prove he can be a winning quarterback in this league. New head coach Aaron Glenn can’t afford to wait years and with Tyrod Taylor as a backup, it might be a matter of weeks if Fields can’t produce.
28. New York Giants
New York fans have cause to be optimistic about the Giants upcoming season, but they’ll have to be patient more than anything.
29. Cleveland Browns
The Browns could actually be a sleeper team, If everything falls into place for them. The problem is everything is scattered all over the place when it comes to the Browns.
30. Indianapolis Colts
The Colts are going into the season with Daniel Jones as their starting quarterback. This almost guarantees them of having a different starting quarterback next season.
31. Carolina Panthers
Carolina should be better than last season’s team. Bryce Young actually looked like a pint sized NFL caliber quarterback last year, not just a guy too small to play quarterback.
32. New Orleans Saints
The Saints have put themselves in a position to repeat history and get a player named Manning to be their quarterback next season. They’ve done this by completely botching up their offseason this year.
