The Redskins preseason finale versus the Ravens was the final exam for several players vying for a spot on the 53-man roster.
While some players like Steven Sims, Jr. knew they drove their stock up, others such as wide receiver Cam Sims felt their performance likely meant they were on the bubble.
Sims was a favorite to survive roster cuts but after several drops and one reception for 12 yards in the Ravens matchup, that became questionable. When cuts were announced on Saturday, Sims’ name was among the players let go. However, the Redskins signed him to the practice squad shortly after the initial announcement.
