After making tough decisions cutting the roster to 53 players, the Cleveland Browns claimed LB Malik Jefferson (Cincinnati Bengals), TE Ricky Seals-Jones (Arizona Cardinals) and WR KhaDarel Hodge (Los Angeles Rams) from waivers. To make room, the team waived DT Trevon Coley and S Juston Burris, while placing T Drew Forbes(knee) on injured reserve.
The Browns also signed DT Brandin Bryant, TE Stephen Carlson, WR Shelton Gibson, LB Willie Harvey, S J.T. Hassell, CB Robert Jackson, WR Derrick Willies and C Willie Wright to their practice squad.
In conjunction, DB Tigie Sankoh will be part of the team’s international practice squad and won’t count towards the team’s limited 10 practice squad slots, which will keep two slots open. Eight of the nine signings were with the Browns during the preseason and training camp.
