CCM hockey announced on April 8th, 2020 that it will be donating 500,000 surgical masks to healthcare workers in retaliation with the Coronavirus.
The hockey equipment company and its multiple endorsees come together to fight against this pandemic across the world. Washington Capitals’ left winger Alex Ovechkin was one out of 28 pro hockey players (male and female) to provide their contribution to the cause.
CCM will provide protective gear that’s brought to them by their network of partners who usually make hockey gear. It’s an “ALL OUT” motto across CCM’s website to promote this effort during this conflict to help families stay safe during this time period.
The leading manufacturer and marketer of hockey gear will also arrange making sure that the transport of these surgical masks are out by no later than April 28th.
The donation process is all because of CCM Hockey and Pros. The players’ who donated to the cause Alex Ovechkin, Mat Barzal, Patrice Bergeron, Brock Boeser, Dani Cameranesi, Brandon Carlo, Thomas Chabot, Kendall Coyne Schofield, Sidney Crosby, Melodie Daoust, Alex Debrincat, Brianna Decker, Matt Duchene, Matt Dumba, Marc-Andre Fleury, Filip Forsberg, Jake Gardiner, Miro Heiskanen, Filip Hronek, Jonathan Huberdeau, Seth Jones, Nathan Mackinnon, Charlie McAvoy, Connor McDavid, Artemi Panarin, Carey Price, Vladimir Tarasenko, and John Tavares.
