(NEW YORK, NY) August 8, 2017 — BIG3 announced today that Killer 3s Co-Captain Stephen Jackson has been named Player of the Week following a Week 7-high 25 points that capped a gritty, intense performance in a close loss to 3’s Company.

“Stephen Jackson exemplifies what the BIG3 is all about. He’s tough and a scorer with high-energy, who puts it all on the line when he plays,” said BIG3 President & Commissioner Roger Mason, Jr. “Stephen has been one of the league’s elite players from the beginning of the season and his Week 7 performance showed the type of fearless competitor he is.”

Jackson, Killer 3s Co-Captain and one of the BIG3’s biggest personalities, is the league’s second leading scorer, averaging 21.6 points per game. In a game featuring two teams fighting to keep their Championship aspirations alive, Jackson nearly willed his team to victory with a standout performance. ‘Stak,’ who nearly scored at will in the game, made a putback to keep the Killer 3s in the game at 48-49 before 3’s Company’s Al Thornton won the game 51-48.

In addition to leading the week’s scoring, Jackson pulled in four offensive rebounds and dished out three assists. He opened the game’s scoring with a three-pointer and finished the day on 10-21 shooting. His hard-charging game and commitment to doing everything he can to help the team win is personified by his league lead in free-throw points made (33) and minutes played (240).

In Los Angeles for the regular-season finale at STAPLES Center (2 p.m. PT), Week 8 will feature ‘Stak’ and his Killer 3s (2-5) teammates taking the court for the final chance at stopping Trilogy’s (7-0) undefeated season. Fans can expect a heated game as Jackson and the Killer 3s look for revenge following a Week 1 loss in which they were without captain Chauncey Billups.

In front of the stars in Los Angeles, Week 8 will bring intense competition with four games that have Championship contention implications. Ghost Ballers (3-4), Tri State (3-4) and 3’s Company will each have a chance to lock up a berth for the Championship in Las Vegas while Trilogy looks to keep the perfect season alive.

Fans across the country can catch all the action on Monday, August 14 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1.
