(NEW YORK, NY) July 19, 2017 — BIG3 announced today that 3 Headed Monsters captain Rashard Lewis has been named Player of the Week following another impressive offensive performance in Philadelphia to solidify his team’s second place standing in the league.

“Week 4 was full of highlights and notable performances, including high flying dunks from the Ball Hogs’ Josh Childress as well as a strong performance from newly acquired Xavier Silas. It was Rashard Lewis, however, who stole the show with a 30 point 10 rebound effort for 3 Headed Monsters, capped off with the game winner,” said Roger Mason Jr., President & Commissioner of the BIG3.

Rashard Lewis, a star in the NBA for 16 seasons and an NBA Champion with the Miami Heat, leads the league in scoring, averaging 24 points per game on 55% shooting while also chipping in seven rebounds per game. From the opening tip of the season, Lewis has set the tone for his team. In Week 4, Lewis poured in 30 points, including a key 4-pointer,  and grabbed 10 rebounds to power his team over the tough Stephen Jackson and Killer 3s (Week 4 Video Highlights & Player Of The Week Video).

In Chicago for Week 5, Lewis and 3 Headed Monsters will face a new test against player/coach and captain Allen Iverson’s 3’s Company and the explosive Andre Owens who is among the league leaders in points, rebounds, and assists.

Chicago’s opening matchup features former Bulls standout Brian Scalabrine’s Ball Hogs taking on Hall of Famer Clyde Drexler’s Power which recently added Chicago-native Kendall Gill to its roster. Following the team’s first win of the season in Philadelphia, Dr. J’s Tri-State faces its toughest challenge yet against undefeated Trilogy and co-captain Al Harrington in Sunday’s third game to add to another exciting and highly-competitive slate of BIG3 games.
