NEW YORK, NY – JUNE 9, 2017 – The New York Liberty announced today it has re-signed guard Ameryst Alston.
Alston was originally drafted by the Liberty in the 2nd Round (24th Overall) in the 2016 WNBA Draft. The Ohio State University product appeared in one game during her rookie season, and re-signed with the team prior to the start of training camp for the 2017 season, averaging 3.3 ppg during the preseason.
At Ohio State, Alston graduated in 2016 ranked 4th in program history, scoring 2,165 points, was a 3-time First-Team All-Big Ten Selection, and an Honorable Mention AP All-American.
The New York Liberty concludes a 5-game home stand by hosting the Seattle Storm at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, June 11, at 3:00 p.m.
