2025 Seattle Seahawks Draft Profile

Team Needs: WR, Tackle, IOL, Edge

After a 10-7 season, the Seattle Seahawks have pressed the reset button on their roster. They traded away Geno Smith and DK Metcalf while also letting multiple players hit the open market.

The team will now look to the NFL Draft to reload a roster full of young talent and continue to build on their foundation.

Possible Targets

Matthew Golden – Wide Receiver, Texas

Jonah Savaiinaea – Offensive Lineman, Arizona

RJ Oben – Edge, Notre Dame

The Seahawks added former triple crown winner Cooper Kupp to their roster to help bolster their receiving corps but they still need to get more talent in the room. Jaxson Smith-Njigba had a breakout year in 2024, so it appears that he’s  their No. 1.

Getting a high-end wide No. 2 receiver would be crucial in the early goings of the draft for the Seahawks.

Matthew Golden has been one of the fastest risers in the draft class and for good reason. His speed, route-running and running ability after the catch are all near the top of the class for receivers. Golden has the skillset to be a true No. 1 receiver in the league and would be a perfect compliment to the receivers already on the roster.

After investing in Sam Darnold, Seattle will need to improve the offensive line to get the best out of him. Their left guard position has a glaring hole and they could target a solid player with tremendous upside on day two.

Jonah Savaiinaea is a player who has a special skill as an offensive lineman. He is a natural tackle who can play guard at an equal level and excels at all phases of blocking.

His best side of the ball has been the right side but he could fill in on the left seamlessly. He would come in as a starter and instantly upgrade the line for this team.

Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald loves having rotational guys on his defense, especially at the pass rusher position. After signing DeMarcus Lawrence in free agency, the Seahawks will need to get an outside linebacker to add to their depth.

RJ Oben is a player with NFL pedigree as his father Roman Oben played left tackle for 12 years. Oben is a naturally gifted athlete with good strength and bend to get around the edge and sack the quarterback.

He can play with his hand in the dirt or standing up, which is valuable in the league today. He will need to adjust to the speed of the NFL and polish some of his technique, but he can carve out a role as a rotational pass rusher early on.

Seattle may not be in a full rebuild but they are also far from competing right now. That could change after the NFL Draft in April.
