The Titans Get Raided In Vegas, Fall To 1-5 On The Season

Las Vegas, NV – After a wild win in Arizona, the Tennessee Titans fell back to reality in their 20-10 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. Although the defense played well, the offense was basically nonexistent.

Overview

Offensively, the game started poorly for the Titans and only got worse. Their first six drives resulted in four punts and two turnovers. Cameron Ward’s day seemed doomed from the start—his efficiency was hindered by questionable play calling and lackluster adjustments.

The offensive struggles were compounded by the loss of veteran wide receiver Calvin Ridley, who left in the first quarter with a hamstring injury.

It ultimately led to a 10-0 deficit heading into the second half, highlighting a clear regression from the previous week.

The second half brought more of the same, despite Tennessee scoring 10 total points, highlighted by a fourth-quarter touchdown pass from Ward to David Martin-Robinson.

Defensively, their effort was wasted by the stagnant offense. Jeffery Simmons and company came ready to play but couldn’t do enough to swing the momentum. The unit held the Raiders to just 226 total yards, a season-best performance.

Tennessee’s loss marks their fifth of the season and their second straight year starting with a record of at 1-5.

Positives

  • United Front: The Titans’ defense posted its best showing of the season, holding the Raiders to just 226 total yards.

Negatives

  • Titan-Sized Turnovers: Tennessee’s offense committed three turnovers on the day (two fumbles, one interception).
  • No Line, No Win: Despite having their full complement of players back, the Titans surrendered six sacks.
  • Injury Bug: Calvin Ridley suffered a hamstring injury that kept him out for the remainder of the game.

The Titans will return to Nissan Stadium in Week 7 to face the New England Patriots, marking Mike Vrabel’s return to Nashville.
