The Washington Redskins (0-5) remained winless after losing 33-7 to the New England Patriots (5-0).

Washington took an early 7-0 lead after a 65-yard end-around touchdown by wide receiver Steven Sims Jr.  After that, the Patriots never looked back.

Quarterback Colt McCoy got his first action this season by starting for the Redskins. He finished with 119 passing yards and an interception, completing 18/27.

“I felt fine physically,” stated McCoy. But when you get down a couple of scores to these guys, it’s a hard thing to drop back and throw with their pass rush and their defense”.

Tom Brady thew for 348 and three touchdowns including one interception for the Patriots. This was the fourth game where the Patriots hadn’t allowed double-digit points this season.

Washington will travel to Miami to face the 0-4 Dolphins next Sunday.
