According to reports from WKYC Channel in Cleveland, former Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning was in Cleveland last week. While it’s unconfirmed that Manning had engaged with Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam about a potential front office job, it has been confirmed by their sports department that he was there.
In his playing years, Manning was a five time league MVP, two-time Super Bowl champion and is widely considered one of the top five quarterbacks of all time before retiring in 2016.
Since retiring, he has made his desire to work in an NFL front office known. It was also reported last week that he was deciding between the Browns, Tennessee Titans and Los Angeles Rams general manager jobs.
There’s a feeling that the idea of Manning to Cleveland is expected to happen given his relationship with Haslam. Haslam’s family have been longtime supporters and donors to the University of Tennessee, the college being where Manning attended.
