ATLANTA (March 30, 2018) – Atlanta United returns to action on Saturday, March 31, to face 2017 MLS expansion counterpart Minnesota United at TCF Bank Stadium. The match is scheduled to kick-off at 8 p.m. EST and will be televised on FOX Sports South.
Atlanta United defeated Vancouver Whitecaps FC 4-1 on Saturday, March 17, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Josef Martinez tallied his fourth career MLS hat trick in just 23 games played and homegrown midfielder Andrew Carleton recorded his first MLS assist after coming on as a substitute. Martinez converted a penalty kick in the 13th minute after Kendall Waston was sent off and later added goals in the 60th and 88th minutes. Vancouver conceded an own goal in the 58th minute and Erik Hurtado scored in the 85th minute for the visitors.
Minnesota is coming off a 3-0 road loss at New York Red Bulls on Saturday, March 24. Alex Muyl opened the scoring for Red Bulls in the 15th minute and Bradley Wright Phillips scored a brace to make it 3-0.
