Clarendon Records Double-Double, West Defeats East 130-121 in 2017 WNBA All-Star Game

SEATTLE (July 22, 2017) – The West outlasted the East 130-121 in the WNBA All-Star Game on Saturday in Seattle. Atlanta Dream standouts Tiffany Hayes, Layshia Clarendon and Elizabeth Williams all made their WNBA All-Star game debuts earlier today at the KeyArena, home of the Seattle Storm.

Hayes, named a starter in her first All-Star appearance, showed flashes of her athleticism, finishing the game with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.

Clarendon, the WNBA leader in assists, earned a double-double with 14 points and team-high 10 assists which gives her the 2nd most assists in WNBA All-Star Game history.

Williams, the Dream’s defensive stalwart, entered the game ranked second in the league in blocked shots. She scored 8 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 14 minutes of play.

The Dream return home to McCamish Pavilion this Tuesday, July 25 as they host Diana Taurasi and the Phoenix Mercury beginning at 7 p.m.

The Atlanta Dream, who is celebrating its 10th season in the WNBA in 2017, will play its home games in McCamish Pavilion on the Georgia Tech campus. Atlanta has qualified for the playoffs seven times, winning conference titles in 2013, 2011 and 2010.
