The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to trade quarterback Carson Wentz to the Indianapolis Colts for a 2021 third-round pick and a conditional 2022 second-round pick. The conditional pick becomes a first-rounder if Wentz plays 75 percent of the snaps or 70 percent and the team makes the playoffs.

Wentz, 28, will replace Phillip Rivers for the Colts who just recently retired this past season. Wentz for his career has thrown for 16,811 yards along with 113 touchdowns but has suffered major injuries, including a season ending ACL tear throughout his five-year career.

The Eagles will turn to Jalen Hurts as their starting quarterback after benching Wentz for him late last season.

Wentz will be reunited with Colts head coach Frank Reich, who was the Eagles’ offensive coordinator in 2016-17. In their last season together, Wentz led the league in total QBR (78.5) and threw an Eagles’ franchise record 33 touchdowns.
