NFL Power Rankings Week 12- Into The Thick Of It

The NFL is definitely in it’s downward slope towards the postseason. The atmosphere surrounding these games has heightened and every loss already seems like a knockout.

Will the top teams be able to stand strong up high in the standings, or do we have another wave of teams catching fire to replace them?

 

1. Kansas City Chiefs (8-2)
The Chiefs still remain at the top of the food chain when it comes to offense in the NFL. They’ve scored at least 27 points in seven of the their ten games.

 

2. Philadelphia Eagles (9-1)
Linval Joseph and Ndamukong Suh each had 0.5 sacks and multiple tackles in their Eagles’ debut. Philadelphia allowed their lowest rushing total since week four.

 

3. Baltimore Ravens (7-3)
The Ravens have given up a total of 16 points in their last two games. They’ve won four games in a row.

 

4. Miami Dolphins (7-3)
Miami was riding a four game winning streak heading into their bye week and they host Houston coming out of it.

 

5. Buffalo Bills (7-3)
Buffalo scored 30 plus points for the fifth time this season. They are 4-1 in those games.

 

6. Dallas Cowboys (7-3)
The Cowboys’ defense allows 16.7 points per game and they allow 174.5 passing yards per game.

 

7. Minnesota Vikings (8-2)
Minnesota got totally beat in all phases in the game versus Dallas. Kirk Cousins need to tuck in his chain after that type of defeat.

 

8. San Francisco 49ers (6-4)
Is San Francisco the most dangerous team in the NFC? They’ve extended their win streak to three games and they’re allowing an average of 13.3 points per game during that stretch.

 

9. New York Giants (7-3)
The Giants streak of winning the game when they score 20 or more points continues. Unfortunately they failed to score 20 versus Detroit.

 

10. Tennessee Titans (7-3)
Tennessee has won seven out of eight games with their only loss being an overtime nail bitter to Kansas City. I’d say they are a real threat in the AFC.

 

11. Seattle Seahawks (6-4)
After their week off, Seattle looks to get back into the win column when they face the Raiders.

 

12. Cincinnati Bengals (6-4)
Cincinnati has outscored their opponents 79-51 in their last two games. They have won four out of five games.

 

13. New England Patriots (6-4)
The Patriots win streak has reached three games and they’ve allowed a total of six points in their last two contests.

 

14. Washington Commanders (6-5)
Washington has won five out of their last six games. Carson Wentz could basically kiss his job goodbye.

 

15. New York Jets (6-4)
Jets head coach Robert Saleh won’t commit to Zach Wilson as his starting quarterback against Chicago. His teammates already seem to have made up their minds about Wilson.

 

16. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-5)
The Buccaneers come off their bye week to face the Browns in Cleveland.

 

17. Atlanta Falcon (5-6)
Despite two turnovers, the Falcons snapped a two game losing streak. They still have a legitimate shot at winning their division.

 

18. Los Angeles Chargers (5-5)
The Chargers have lost two in a row, allowing 52 points during that stretch. They’ve  been outscored by their opponents 258-227 on the season.

 

19. Arizona Cardinals (4-7)
Arizona is ranked 31st in total points allowed. They gave up four touchdown passes to Jimmy Garoppolo on Monday night, so that should tell you what kind of defense they have.

 

20. Green Bay Packers (4-7)
The Packers have a bunch of losses and four fluke-like victories. It’s not looking good for them right now.

 

21. Detroit Lions (4-6)
Detroit has been hot of late, winning three games in a row. They’ve scored a total of 77 points during that stretch.

 

22. Indianapolis Colts (4-6-1)
The Colts rank eleventh in total points allowed and fifth in total yards allowed. Even with their inept offense they should have more wins.

 

23. New Orleans Saints (4-7)
The Saints have turned the ball over a total of three times in their victories. They have a total of 16 turnovers in their losses.

 

24. Los Angeles Rams (3-7)
Usually the team that gets defeated in the Super Bowl is the one that comes out flat the next season. The Rams are certainly bucking that trend as defending champions.

 

25. Pittsburgh Steelers (3-7)
Kenny Pickett certainly looks like a NFL quarterback, but you can see he has a long way to go.

 

26. Carolina Panthers (3-8)
The Panthers had their lowest point total and rushing total of the season versus Baltimore. They’ll face another top defense versus Denver this weekend.

 

27. Cleveland Browns (3-7)
Cleveland has been out scored 70-40 in their last two games. They don’t have trouble moving the ball, but they have trouble stopping other teams from scoring.

 

28. Las Vegas Raiders (3-7)
The Raiders have only turned the ball over seven times this season, but they’ve only forced six turnovers on defense.

 

29. Denver Broncos (3-7)
Denver’s defense remains top three in points allowed and total yards allowed. Their offense remains terrible.

 

30. Chicago Bears (3-8)
The Bears have failed to reach 200 yards rushing for the first time since week five. They’ve lost four games in a row.

 

31. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-7)
Jacksonville comes off of their bye week to face Baltimore and then a trip to Detroit.

 

32. Houston Texans (1-8-1)
Houston has lost five in a row after their only win of the season. They rank 30th in points scored.
