Round 1:

1)  Brandon Ingram, Small Forward (SF), Duke- Plug him in at SF and wait for him to blossom. Already has three point range. As he gets stronger, his defense will improve.

2)  Ben Simmons, Power Forward (PF) LSU- The talent is obvious but what about the intangibles? Jumper needs a total renovation.

3)  (Boston trades pick to 76ers for PF Jahlil Okafor): Kris Dunn, Point Guard (PG), Providence- A terrific athlete who can get to the basket, get other’s shots and defend. Jumper must improve and decision making has to be better. Nothing is stopping him from becoming a very good PG.

4)  Dragan Bender, PF/C (Center), International (Int’l- He will give the Suns a low post threat & has the ability to stretch the floor with shooting. His rim protection instincts are a bonus.

5)  Buddy Hield, SG (Shooting Guard), Oklahoma- The Timberwolves’ outside shooting was a weakness, enter Hield who will help spread the floor. Wiggins & Towns will welcome the open space and give Rubio another toy to pass to.

6)   Jamal Murray, PG/SG, Kentucky- They need outside shooting, point guard capabilities and a consistent scorer. Murray checks off all boxes.

7)  Timothe Luwawu, SG/SF, Int’l- The back court piece to compliment Mudiay. Defense is his strength with an improving jumper. The makings of a very good “2-way” player.

8)  Jaylen Brown, SF, California- Physical specimen who can excel in the open court, has potential to be a very good defender & will have a year to learn behind Rudy Gay before he takes over the position. Jumper needs work.

9)  Toronto Raptors: Marquese Chriss, PF, Washington- With Biyombo most likely gone via free agency, taking a big is a necessity. Chriss is a very explosive player who attacks the rim, has the makings of an offensive threat. Great timing as a shot blocker. Must rebound more.

10) Jakob Poeltl, C, Utah- Poeltl will move Greg Monroe back to his natural PF position. His shot blocking prowess and post defense is exactly what the Bucks need. Offensive game needs polish but has good footwork and a soft touch. Must get stronger.

11)  Skal Labissiere, C, Kentucky- The Magic are deep everywhere except at center. Labissiere’s defense will compliment Nicola Vucevic’s offensive game nicely.

12)  Denzel Valentine, SG, Michigan St- Not athletically gifted but has a great feel for the game, is an exceptional passer and is a knock down shooter. Sounds like a great fit for the Jazz.

13)  Henry Ellenson, PF, Marquette- One of the best rebounders in the draft who has a great feel for the game. Good offensive game with three point range.

14) Deyonta Davis, PF/C, Michigan St- Noah and Gasol are likely gone via free agency, taking Davis is a no brainier. He will protect the basket by blocking shots and altering the ones he does not. Runs the floor like a wing player. If his offense catches up to his defense, he could be special.

15)  Furkan Korkmaz, SG, Int’l- A sniper with range for a team lacking consistent outside shooting (besides Gallinari). A nice weapon to have off the bench. An underated ball handler as well.

16) Tauren Prince, SF, Baylor- Jae Crowder is a pending free agent, so getting a SF is essential. Prince adds aseurance or depth at a thin position. He offers defense, rebounding and the ability to hit the three pointer.

17) Dejounte Murray, PG/SG, Washington-With the pending free agency of Mike Conley, they must prepare for the possibility of life without him. Enter Murray, a very talented athlete who’s game is still raw. Has great length & court vision. Excels in the open court. Jumper needs work.

18)  Domantas Sabonis, PF/C, Gonzaga- They need more quality size up front & he fits that mold. Sabonis has a high motor, very good footwork, a solid post game and good genes (father was an NBA talent). Not a rim protector but will guard his position.

19)  Demetrius Jackson, PG, Notre Dame- Very explosive, strong player who can get to the basket and create for teammates. Jumper has improved but needs to be consistent. Will be a solid back up behind Emmanuel Mudiay.

20)  Brice Johnson, PF/C, UNC- Must add muscle to frame. Terrific athlete who runs the floor like a guard. Shot blocking ability. Much improved mid-range jumper and finishes well around the basket.

21)  Damian Jones, C, Vanderbilt- A work in progress with plenty of upside. Strong with a solid frame, will hold his own on defense. Offense needs work.

22)  Malik Beasley, SG, Florida St- Very good shooter and slasher. Good athlete with ideal size (6’5). Must become a better defender.

23)   Ante Zizic, C, Int’l -Taking a page from the Spurs playbook, this may be a pick and stash player. Zizic already has an NBA frame and is skilled but another year of experience will help. Both Jared Sullinger & Tyler Zeller will likely sign one year qualifying deals.

24) Wade Baldwin, PG, Vanderbilt- Even with Dunn on board, the 76ers need help in the back court. Wade has good size and the ability to knock down shots.

25)  DeAndre Bembrey, SF, St Joseph’s- With Paul Pierce as the only viable SF on the roster, this position must be addressed. Learning from Pierce is a huge bonus. Bembrey is a good athlete who plays above the rim. His strength is his versatility. His outside shot needs work.

26)  Malachi Richardson, SG, Syracuse- A natural scorer, good in transition and gets to the rim consistently. Jumper needs work. Potential future back court with Dunn could be scary.

27)  Isaia Cordinier, SG, Int’l- Exceptional  shooter with range but what makes him different is his ability to attack off the dribble. Very athletic as well. Must get stronger & defense needs work.

28) Patrick McCaw, SG, UNLV- Still very yo ung & raw. Still learning but super athletic with a good looking stroke. He should fill out nicely. Worth the gamble at this point in the draft.

29) Diamond Stone, C, Maryland- Big and strong kid. Good hands. Still learning the game. In a great situation learning from Tim Duncan.

30)  Stephen Zimmerman Jr, C, UNLV- Andrew Bogut’s tenure with the Warriors is running out, so they get a player that they can groom to replace him. Ideal pick and roll/pop player as well as a good passer. Will compliment Festus Ezeli.

Round 2:

31)  Rade Zagorac, SF, Int’l- Offensive versatility is his strength. Defense must get better. Another year of overseas basketball would not hurt him. They could also trade this pick.

32) AJ Hammons, C, Purdue- Front court help is a must. Hammons is big and strong, not the most athletic but moves effectively in the post. Will rebound and defend. Offensive game needs polish.

33)   Ben Bentil, PF, Providence- Undersized but is a terrific scorer who is expanding his range and is a solid rebounder. Can he defend his position?

34)  Juan Hernangomez, SF/PF, Int’l- Offensive versatility is his strength. An improving three point shot and his strength will allow him to play both forward spots. Defense needs work.

35) Daniel Hamilton, SG/SF, UCONN- All around solid game. Must get stronger. Also needs to expand range to NBA 3pt line. Could trade this pick.

36) Malcolm Brogdon, SG, Virginia– Not very athletic but a very heady, smart, crafty player. He is a very productive player (think Mario Elie).

37) Zhou Qi, C, Int’l- Good mobility, can handle the ball and has great touch around the basket. Defense must improve. Must add muscle to frame. The chinese connection is obvious.

38) Milwaukee: Tyler Ulis, PG, Kentucky- Size aside, this guy has the mental make up to make it in the league. Effective leader who has shown the ability to get the job done.

39)  Paul Zipser, SF, Int’l- Physical player who defends, plays above the rim and attacks the basket. Not your typical international player profile. Must work on ball handling. Good open shooter.

40) Thon Maker, SF/PF, Int’l- Worth the risk at this point. Has a lot of potential because of his skill set (handle, score, rim protector). Must get stronger.

41)  Petr Cornelie, PF, Int’l- A stretch “4” who’s a terrific athlete. Needs to add muscle to his frame. Also adds depth up front.

42)  Caris LeVert, SG, Michigan- Solid versatile player who can handle the ball, finish in transition and will add depth at the SG position.

43)  Prince Ibeh, C, Texas- A rim protector and solid post defender. Very strong and athletic. Very limited offensively but can finish around the basket.

44)  Michael Gbinije, PG/SG, Syracuse- Good jumper and has the makings of a solid defender. No flash but plenty of substance.

45) Joel Bolomboy, PF, Weber St- An energy guy who will rebound. Will have to prove he can score against taller players. Offense needs work, defense is improving. Could trade this pick.

46) Guerschon Yabusele, PF, Int’l- Very raw but a very good athlete with a great wingspan. Weight could be an issue if not monitored.

47)  Orlando Magic: Jarrod Uthoff, SF, Iowa- Good jumper and finisher. Despite his slight build, he rebounds and defends. Still must get stronger to compete consistently.

48)  Gary Payton II, PG/SG, Oregon St- Explosive athlete who will defend his position. Ball handling and decision making must improve. Jumper needs work.

49)  Marcus Paige, PG, UNC- Shooting isn’t his issue. Handling PG duties and defense are.

50) Troy Williams, SF, Indiana- Has the size & lateral quickness to be a good defender. Needs to play under control on offense. Jumper must improve.

51)  (Cletics trades pick to Knicks for cash): Dorian Finney-Smith, SF, Florida- Can shoot with range and is a great rebounder at his position. Ball handling and mid-range game needs work. Strong finisher. Framework is there to be a good defender.

52) Ron Baker, SG, Wichita St- Nothing jumps out at you about him but he understands the game & just makes plays.

53)  Danuel House, SF, Texas A&M- Has ideal size and athleticism. Strong body. Solid all around player on offense. Will he be that consistent on defense?

54)  Wayne Seldon Jr, SG, Kansas- An above average shooter with a good feel for the game. Solid defender. Ball handling needs work.

55) Isaiah Whitehead, PG/SG, Seton Hall- Solid combo guard who can score and distribute the ball. Decision making must improve. Can be a good defender.

56)  Georges Niang, PF, Iowa St- Can cause problems for defenses with his ability to handle the ball, shoot and make plays for others. Can he defend his position?

57)  Kaleb Tarczewski, C, Arizona- Very strong but needs to develop a post game. Rebounding must improve. He will add depth to the front court. Has the tools to be a solid back up.

58) Tyrone Wallace, PG/SG, California- Good athleticism and a natural scorer. Rebounds very well and attacks the basket. Jumper needs work and decision making must improve. Could trade this pick.

59)  Sheldon McClellan, SG, Miami- Will add depth in the backcourt. Very capable offensive player but defense must improve. Strong offensive rebounder.

60) Perry Ellis, PF, Kansas- Offensive game has improved & has extended the range on his jumper. Not the most athletic but with compete & give maximum effort.
